Charles Walker - CEO and Founder
Charles' vision is focused on the creation of a niche business that acquires talent for financial companies. His responsibilities range from strategic and brand direction, as well as ensuring the Focus Search and Selection brand is continuously addressing the ever-changing requirements of the financial service sector.
Charles devotes his spare time to supporting his 4 children with their sporting activities and past times. Despite his aging years he still plays competitive football, albeit for the Veteran’s team and much to his annoyance, he is a ‘work in progress’ on the golf course.

Martin Hynes - Operations Director
Martin is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations within the business as well as leading the ‘Search Team’ in Insurance and Commercial Banking. He is particularly adept at senior appointments and has an extensive network within our field of specialisms.
Martin is the most laid back individual you’ll ever meet, in taking his blood pressure a doctor recently asked if he was sleep walking. A county badminton player, ok that was a few years ago, but he still loves his sport and is an advocate of Sky Sports. Martin also caught the property renovation bug at 18 when he brought his first house and has recently completely demolished his current property to have it rebuilt! He is a family man with two sons, one of whom emigrated in Jan 2016 and two autistic step sons.  He is now also a proud grandad!!!

Vanessa Walker  - Financial Controller
Vanessa is responsible for all aspects of the company's financial management including payroll, invoicing, reconciliation, accounts, VAT and debt recovery.
The world of recycled furniture occupies Vanessa’s limited spare time. Turning a tired old piece of junk into a shabby chic style masterpiece is her passion.

Paul Stewart - Senior Resourcing Manager
Paul works at Focus as a Senior Resourcing Manager. He has a wealth of experience in the Commercial Banking and General Insurance market. Paul believes in the importance of developing strong relationships and supports our clients in his dedicated regions. Out of work Paul’s family keep him busy but when time allows he enjoys watching and playing most sports especially football and cricket.

Jessica works at Focus as a Business Support Manager. She has previous executive support and HR Admin experience and strives to provide excellent customer service.

Ross O'Loughin - Senior Resourcing Manager - Investment Management
Ross has over 5 years experience as a Recruitment Manager within financial services, Ross has a wealth of knowledge within the industry and believes in building strong relationships with both individuals and clients.
Outside of work he is kept busy spending time with his son Max, daughter Mia and wife Clare, although he does also like the ‘odd’ round of golf too at the weekends (weather dependent!). He enjoys most sports, both playing and watching, especially football and plays for his local Veterans football team who play once a month which suits him fine!

Daniel Mulhern - Resourcing Manager - FX and Merchant Payment Services 
Dan works at Focus as a Recruitment Manager. He has over 6 years experience working within the FX & Merchant services sector across a combination of roles, and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge within this market and a significant contact base of both clients and candidates. Outside of work he is kept busy spending time with his fiancée Rachel & daughter Scarlett, is an avid football & horse racing fan and enjoys cooking when he gets the time.

Julie Hynes - Legal Search Consultant
Julie works at Focus as a Legal Search Consultant (industry and practice) and strives to build strong relationships and provide excellent service to both clients and candidates. Julie is a keen Masters swimmer and a member of a local gym. She is also a passionate gardener, practices Iyengar yoga, speaks conversational French, sings in a choir, plays the piano and in her spare time enjoys power walking/running! Julie also loves her family. She has two sons, both wonderful but sadly autistic. As a consequence, Julie has a significant amount of specialist knowledge concerning autism and other disabilities. She also has two step-sons and a beautiful baby step-grandson.
