Overview of Head Of E-commerce Marketplaces
We are looking for a Head Of E-commerce Marketplaces to work within our fast-moving FinTech business. We have been making moving money around the world faster, cheaper and easier for individuals and businesses since 2004. We’ve grown quickly in that time - we’re now a team of 600+ across 8 global offices supporting nearly 100,000 active clients. To support us on our journey we’re looking to hire a Head of Private Client for EMEA to add value and insight to our fantastic existing team.
As Head Of E-commerce Marketplaces, you will play a leadership role in maintaining and growing existing e-commerce connections whilst sourcing and attaining new ones.
Examples of the Key Responsibilities for the Head Of E-commerce Marketplaces
Drive incremental revenue through strategic marketplace engagement and client introductions
Remain conversant of industry trends, the competitive landscape and customer needs, representing the company at various industry trade shows, conferences, sales meetings, and networking events
Collaborate with strategic marketplace partners to drive engagement and cross-promote services via multiple channels
Pro actively establish and maintain effective working relationships with all support departments, including working closely with client account managers and E-Commerce teams to feed marketplace requirements into business activities and strategy
Network and consult with prospective marketplace partners, creating and managing relationships with C-Level executives while identifying key decision makers in the sales process
Support the sales team at key presentations to prospective marketplace partners
Negotiate key partner initiatives while aligning with internal implementation and delivery resource
Ensuring awareness of necessary compliance regulation
Key Capabilities of the Head Of E-commerce Marketplaces
Extensive relationship management experience with a proven track record of strategic account management experience, (ideally with FX payments knowledge)
Experience working in the E-Commerce space, ideally at an online marketplace or managing relationships with them
Strategic thinker who can design and execute on a vision. Ability to adapt to and lead through high-growth, uncertain environments and complex sales cycles.
Knowledge of consultative / solution sales process with effective techniques and experience with the "Challenger" approach
Strong networking skills with an active network at C-level preferably in the E-Commerce Space
Experience independently identifying revenue opportunities through desk-top research and own initiatives
Proven experience of developing and maintaining global, cultural, complex and long term client relationships that sustain results
Adept as both an individual contributor and in a leadership role, creating an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
Highly organised with strong time management skills
