We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to provide support to the Chartered Financial Consultant. If you would like the opportunity to add value to the para planning team whilst working pro actively to ensure all office functions are processed efficiently, this is the job for you!
The role of Technical Consultant is a varied one, which requires communications skills, a good knowledge of ethical and compliance requirements and previous experience in an advisory role.
Whilst working on your continual professional development, you will engage with clients on a much more personal level, learning the softer skills required to become an adviser, whilst continuing with your studies to achieve Chartered status.
Main responsibilities for the Technical Consultant will include; but not limited to:
Report writing and product recommendations for clients
Analysis and research of financial products and providers
Provide Paraplanning support to the Paraplanning team when required
Ensuring your technical knowledge is kept up to date and that CPD records are filed monthly for compliance purposes
Providing clear work requests to allow back office to support your client bank effectively whilst following processes
Conduct team meetings when required
Developing a robust review process for clients of the Chartered Financial Consultant and ensuring that service is delivered in line with the agreed fee / retainer / service level
The successful Technical Consultant will have a diploma in financial planning . You must be comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative as well as working without close supervision. Excellent IT/Microsoft skills, particularly IFA back office systems area also essential.
