Salary £40k + Bonus of £49k making an OTE of £89k + benefits including car allowance of £7,500.

Our client is a leading global insurer focused on commercial real estate who are looking to expand the team with a Business Development role in the North of England. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing UK, your role will be responsible for developing new business with clients who are involved in commercial real estate (property) projects. Your focus will be the North of England; and key prospects will include Law firms, Insurance Brokers, Commercial Property Agents, Commercial Lenders and Commercial Investors. If you’ve been involved in commercial property finance projects, this is a great opportunity.

The main purpose of the role is to seek new business opportunities from existing clients as well as promoting the business to new clients. increasing the market share and market awareness of our client’s products. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth and delivering the commercial property strategy. You will create and then implement a result focused sales plan - one that will identify, target and win business from new and existing clients. Your success will be measured by your direct contribution to the revenue of the business.

Travel will be a key part of this role. You will be based from home and manage your own diary and appointments.

You must be a dynamic, ambitious, business minded professional, with an eye for new opportunities, sound commercial acumen and the ability to drive sales and increase revenue by developing new business opportunities. In simple terms you will be someone who is capable of self-generating leads, able to get your foot in the door and has an understanding of what our clients do to enable you to come up with solutions to help close a deal.

You can demonstrate a high achieving new business sales track record of selling services ideally to law firms, banks and/or property investment companies.

Detailed knowledge of the commercial property market is highly desirable.
